About the Gwinnett Journalism Fund

Local journalism is the cornerstone of an informed community. With over 2,500 newspapers closing nationwide in the past 15 years, the risk of losing vital local news is real. The Gwinnett Journalism Fund was established to ensure Gwinnett County continues to have strong investigative reporting.

This fund provides the financial support needed to fund a full-time investigative reporter at the Gwinnett Daily Post. Their mission? To pursue in-depth stories that matter most to our community, keeping residents informed and engaged.

Maintaining journalistic integrity is a top priority. The Gwinnett Daily Post editors and reporters operate independently of funders, and donors have no influence over the stories pursued. Additionally, all investigative work by the investigative reporter will be freely accessible online — ensuring critical local news remains available to all.
