Our Stories

A Celebration of Good

20 nonprofit stories told. $800,000 raised. $125,000 given away. Almost 3,000 attendees. And that’s just since 2016. When we kicked off our first Good2Give Celebration in 2016, we knew we wanted to start a tradition of celebrating our nonprofits and we were hopeful our communities would want the same thing. As it turns out, they did.

“The #Good2Give Celebration is a showcase of the great work so many are doing across the region to serve others! It’s a great time to learn about worthy causes and celebrate the generosity that supports them. It is a ‘can’t miss’ event!” Norwood and Aerah Davis

“Attending the Good2Give Celebration is always inspiring since the event really focuses on telling the stories of the causes that the Community Foundation supports. It’s amazing, too, how many good things come out of the stories that are told and conversations people have while there!” Amy and Cliff Bray

Along with the stories we tell every year, some incredible stories also happen because of the Good2Give Celebration. At last year’s event, one of our featured nonprofits was The Path Project. At the end of the evening, as Executive Director Jim Hollandsworth was leaving, someone from the audience handed him a $5,000 check. They were so moved by The Path Project’s story and what Jim, his wife Melinda and their team were accomplishing that they wanted to help support their work that very evening.

The year before that, Susan and Farley Barge, founders of Navigate Recovery, happened to be sitting at a table with Trent Lind, CEO of Eastside Medical Center. That connection led to a partnership with Eastside and now, when an addiction case appears in Eastside’s ER and wants further help, Navigate Recovery dispatches an addiction counselor, 7 days a week/24 hours a day. (We’ll be telling their story next month, along with Gwinnett County Public Library, the City of Suwanee’s Art for All Campaign, Leadership Gwinnett, and Hi-Hope. so don’t miss it!)

We can’t wait to hear, see and experience all the good that happens during, and after, this year’s Good2Give Celebration! Will we see YOU there?
