Hi-Hope Service Center hosts third annual Sprout Film Festival

Hi-Hope Service Center, a nonprofit based in Lawrenceville, is hosting its third annual Sprout Film Festival Saturday from 1:30-5 p.m. at the Sara D. Williams Fine Arts Center on the campus of Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross.

The Sprout Film Festival, founded in 2003 by Anthony DiSalvo in New York City, is the first and only festival to exclusively showcase films featuring people with developmental disabilities. Each year, the film festival is organized across the country to expose the general public to important issues facing the intellectual and developmentally disabled population.

Four Gwinnett cities rank high as best places to retire in state

 

According SmartAsset, a financial technology company, Stone Mountain, Snellville, Loganville and Buford are some of the best places in the state to retire. SmartAsset ranked the cities with the most recreational and social opportunities for retirees. SmartAsset’s index factors in the number of recreation centers and retirement centers available to seniors as well as the percentage of the city’s population they represent.
