Meet Britt, our New Director of Fundholder Experience!
We are excited to announce our team is growing! As we welcome our new Director of Fundholder Experience Britt Hultgren Ramroop (former director of community outreach at Aurora Theatre) we thought it would be fun to do a Q&A with Britt. Enjoy learning more about Britt and her new position!
CFNEG: What are you looking forward to in your new position?
Britt: I’m most looking forward to building new relationships within the community (individuals and organizations) and nurturing the relationships that have already started. I’m excited about being able to spend time learning about all the good happening around metro Atlanta and beyond and then being able to connect people with all these amazing organizations.
CFNEG: What should fundholders expect from working with you?
Britt: Fundholders can first and foremost always expect a smile from me. They can expect me to be a knowledgeable resource on all the amazing organizations and their contributions so that I can help provide insight to fundholders. I want to make sure that all fundholders always feel confident in the gifts they choose to make and that those gifts will have the largest impact possible.
CFNEG: What’s your background?
Britt: I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, earning a BFA in Design & Technical Theatre, and am originally from Wyoming. I moved to Atlanta in 2004 and Gwinnett in 2007. Most recently I was director of community outreach at Aurora Theatre. I’ve spent the past 10 years with Aurora building relationships and connecting people through the arts, and that was, hands down, my favorite part of my job.
CFNEG: What do you love about Gwinnett?
Britt: This is a hard one because there really is so much to love about Gwinnett. I love the people, the diversity, the schools and the pride everyone I meet has for the Gwinnett community.
CFNEG: Favorite memories from Aurora?
Britt: From creating life-long friendships to breaking attendance records to meeting Harvey Fierstein during Aurora’s production of Catered Affair, my favorite memories of Aurora are way too many to count. Some of my proudest accomplishments while there include the start of our educational collaborations and being able to make a difference in the lives of Gwinnett County students through the arts. The expansion of Teatro Aurora from one Spanish-language show to a series of events that bring our community together will always hold a special place in my heart. Overall I’m proud to have been part of a talented team of artists who are doing their part in creating a strong community where everyone is welcome, their voice is heard and a has place to call home.
CFNEG: Tell us about your family
Britt: I’m married with two kids. My husband Randy is a self-employed residential and commercial maintenance consultant. My son is 8 and my daughter is 5 (6 the end of October). We live on a little farm in Loganville with two dogs (Omaha our Great Pyrenees and Bailey our Chocolate Lab), 30+ chickens and 19 goats.
CFNEG: Why goats and chickens?
Britt: We started with goats to help keep our pasture land under control and the chickens because who doesn’t want fresh eggs?! Having both goats and chickens has been educational for us all and a great way for us to teach our kids at a young age about hard work and responsibility.
CFNEG: What one’s thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Britt: I won the state tennis championship title twice in high school.
CFNEG: Why is it Good2Give?
Britt: It’s good to give because it’s incredibly special to be a small part of something that makes a positive impact. I love the Winston Churchill quote, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
