Meet our board member Teddy Russell! Teddy is the CEO and owner of Russell Landscape and a long-time Gwinnettian. Keep reading to discover more about him and why he’s involved in the Community Foundation.

CFNEG: Why is giving back important to you?

My father, Bill, who started our company in 1987, has always been involved in the community.  One of our four core values at Russell Landscape is Heart of Service and it has been part of our culture from the beginning.

CFNEG: What do you want people to know about the Community Foundation?

This is an organization that is built by the community to help and protect the community. The Community Foundation is led by an amazing board and staff with a passion for giving back.

CFNEG: What do you hope to accomplish as a board member?

I hope I can add some positive value. If enough people get involved and help in small ways, we can make a tremendous difference in the lives of many.

CFNEG: What other causes/organizations are you passionate about?

I am involved in the Boys & Girls Club and love seeing the impact it has.

CFNEG: What do you enjoy about your career?

I enjoy seeing our employees take so much pride in their jobs and taking advantage of opportunities to advance their career at Russell Landscape.

CFNEG: Tell us about your family.

I have been married for 18 years to my wife Courtney and we have three amazing kids. My parents, Bill and Sherry, have been a huge part of making me who I am today. I have a great sister, Angie, who I am very close with. I couldn’t ask for a better mother and father in-law.  I am very grateful and fortunate to have such a great family unit!

CFNEG: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love to travel with family and friends. My favorite past time is playing golf and skiing.

CFNEG: What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I try to get away at least one time per year to heli-ski in the backcountry of Canada.

CFNEG: One positive thing you’ve realized from the COVID-19 pandemic?

It has been rewarding to spend so much time with my family. It’s especially fortunate to get to spend this much quality time with my kids who will soon be moving on to college and the rest of their lives.
